DP1
2023
The DP1 students created self-portraits using acrylic paint and the style of Spontaneous Realism by Austrian artist Voka. Characterized by bold, colorful brushstrokes and vibrant imagery, Spontaneous Realism captures the attention of the students in the visual arts. These students have been inspired by Voka's use of color and composition, as well as his ability to capture movement and emotion through his paintings. Through their study of different acrylic techniques, students have learned to experiment with the medium, using it to convey their own ideas and emotions. These artworks by DP1 students showcase their ability to interpret new things and expand on ideas while also demonstrating a mastery of the acrylic medium. Visitors can expect to see a range of works that celebrate the beauty, energy, and vibrancy of acrylic paints in the hands of talented young artists.
