A self-portrait is a representational composition created by oneself.  It is more than a record of physical characteristics; it frequently includes the protagonist's psychological qualities and aesthetics. The students made their own self-portraits using the grid drawing technique. The grid method entails drawing a grid over the reference photo and then drawing a grid on the work surface with an equal ratio. It allows you to create an accurate drawing by focusing on one square at a time until the entire image has been transferred.
