Ashleigh Green has just begun her junior year at Badin. She has many interests outside of school. One that stands out is her fascination with superheroes.
“I would have to say my favorite superheroes are Spiderman, Black Widow and obviously Wonder Women,” Green said.
However, her interest in superheroes is not new. Over the years Green has grown more interested as the franchises expanded.
“It was like the tail end of the Iron Man movies that I saw in the theater that really set me off,” Green said.
A common debate is which is better, Marvel or DC? When asked, Green was fairly neutral and doesn’t like to pick sides.
“If I had to pick, probably Marvel only because they stuck to a better timeline for films and shows,” Green said.
When thinking of superheroes, comics are usually a common interest. For Green, although she loves reading, she isn’t an avid reader of the superhero comics.
“I don’t really read the comics on my own. I like to watch YouTube videos of people talking about them and learn what happens that way,” Green said.
Green also is a fan of the TV series The Umbrella Academy, which is about superheroes and can be found on Netflix.
It’s safe to say that her knowledge about superheroes is not lacking.
