It has been over a week now since the last episode of WandaVision came out so if you haven’t finished the series yet, spoiler warning is in affect starting now!
If you choose to continue in spite of the spoiler warning, then you’ve chosen this fate and it’s your fault if you find out something you didn’t want to see.
WandaVision was the most mind stumping thing to ever exist on television as far as I know
However, it does show how the future of the MCU will be now after this event.
Wanda has now been informed of her magical powers known as Chaos Magic, something that isn’t taught in a spellbook or needs phrases to be cast. Agnes, or Agatha Harkness, informed her of her abilities in episode eight.
The rest of the episode shows how she develops into her powers and her new identity as The Scarlet Witch with her family.
Agatha and Wanda fight while Vision and Vision (yes, there’s two now) also go at it. Her kids Tommy and Billy also deal with S.W.O.R.D trying to kill their mom with Monica Rambeau.
The townspeople in Westview finally are freed but by doing so, Wanda risks the lives of her children and Vision who start fading away with the barrier around the town.
Eventually Wanda fully embraces her role as The Scarlet Witch and beats Agatha by using her own rune move against her. She then gave her the role of the “Nosy Neighbor” which she had chosen when she entered the town back in the 50s era it started in.
Once she had done that, it was time for her to say goodbye to the reality she had come to live in. Which meant saying a heartfelt goodbye to her sons and Vision.
The spell fades and she goes to leave town now that she’s technically a criminal since she imprisoned all of those innocent people.
However, in the post credit scene, the one after the black and white credits, Wanda is seen hovering over the Darkhold, a dark magic book with the most dangerous spells inside. What exactly this means for the future of the MCU is uncertain, but it definitely relates to the future “Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness” film.
Agatha references the Sorcerer Supreme as she reads from this very book, telling Wanda that The Scarlet Witch is even more powerful than him, Doctor Strange.
People have been speculating about the villain of the upcoming film and some are even saying that Wanda may be the new villain of Phase 5 and after what we’ve seen, who knows if that’ll be true or not? Marvel is very strict on secret keeping.
But we unfortunately won’t know until the movie comes out or in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” which has references to the show apparently.
Until that day comes, we have Falcon and the Winter Soldier to tie us over!
