As the end of the year draws to a close, we say goodbye to our seniors who are heading off into a new chapter of their lives. The soon-to-be graduates will be missed, but we can’t let the juniors going into their senior year to head in blind. Juniors, take some advice from the senior class and give them a proper sendoff from The Badin Banner.
“Live it up, and appreciate it while you have the chance,” senior Madison Ortt says to the incoming senior class for her advice.
“Make the most of it,” senior Will Brossart adds, “Don't be a jerk to the other classes, be supportive!” With an enthusiastic explanation like that, how can you not follow it?
And senior Jessica Stidham gives some of the best advice juniors can take, “It's ok to not know what you want to do,” she says, offering that comforting message to those stressed about applying to college, coming much sooner than most juniors may expect.
Even though they will soon be leaving the Badin walls, we can still learn what they are looking forward to the most heading into their first year as college students.
Senior Connor Kurtz says that he’s looking forward to, “More freedoms given with college location.” the most as a freshman in college.
“Getting to room with my best friend,” senior Ava Zetler says as she talks about what she’s excited about the college experience.
“Fun.” says senior Jack Grimm when he told The Badin Banner what he expected to face in college.
The saddest part of the senior’s departure is what they are going to miss as a student here at Badin Highschool.
Most students said they would miss their friends, such as Brossart who said, “The friends we made that we will never see again.”
Senior Jessica Stidham says that she’ll miss “Football games,” the most as she leaves her time as a Badin student behind.
As the seniors complete their final day as a senior student in the Badin class, they can look back on their years spent within the halls with pride and a smile on their faces. We wish them the best of luck as they head into college.
