Sketchbook or sheets of blank paper
Graphite pencils (NO eraser) - you can substitute with pens, black sharpie marker, charcoal pencils/sticks
Hard surface to support your drawing

Timer
WATCH: How to Draw a Blind Contour Drawing (~5:40 min.) -- https://youtu.be/qqicqYiqen4
You'll draw your (non-dominant) hand or your bare foot (your choice).
Set the timer for 2 minutes
Tape/clip the paper to your drawing surface so it doesn’t shift as you draw.
Arrange yourself so you can clearly see your hand/foot, without seeing the paper.
Focus your eyes on some part of your hand/foot and begin moving your pencil to record what your eyes observe.
Do not look down at the paper as your draw- force yourself to concentrate on how the shapes, lines, and contours of the object relate to one another.
Continue observing and recording until the timer goes off.
REPEAT this exercise a second time on the same page— switch your hand/foot position.
Write the date & title: #1 two blind contours (2 min.) on your paper.
On a new page, repeat the first exercise— except this time, keep drawing for 5 minutes.
Pretend your eyes are following a tiny bug, traversing your entire hand/foot. Your drawing tool should follow the movement of your eyes.
Continue observing and recording until the timer goes off.
Write the date & title: #2 blind contour (5 min.) on your paper.
On a new page, repeat exercise #2— except this time, you'll draw with your non-dominant hand.
Pretend your eyes are following a tiny bug, traversing your entire hand/foot. Your drawing tool should follow the movement of your eyes.
Continue observing and recording until the timer goes off.
Write the date & title: #3 blind contour non-dominant hand (5 min.) on your paper.
