Congratulations on your recent admission to the Ed.D. in Leadership and Innovation online program at Arizona State University.  Please follow the steps below to get started. 

Step 1:  Activate your ASU Student Account (MyASU and ASURITE)

• • To activate your ASURITE User ID, click here.  You will need to wait until you receive your official notification from ASU Graduate Education to complete this step.

Step 2:  Set up your ASU Student Email

• • Email will be the primary means of communication (ASU Email Policy).  It is required that you use and check your ASU Email on a daily basis. 

  • CHECK EMAIL DAILY - even before courses begin, you will receive information from your instructors and advisor via email

Step 3: Register for Classes

The course sequence for your program can be found on the EdD Leadership & Innovation webpage of this site, under the Required Courses and Plan of Study for your term of admittance

• • Register for ALL courses (Sessions A, B, and C) at the beginning of the semester.  Do not wait until Session B starts or is about to start to register for a Session B course.

Step 4:  Explore/Apply for Financial Aid

• • It is best to contact financial aid directly.  Your academic advisor does not have the best, most up to date information related to financial issues.

Step 5: Pay Tuition and Fees

• • View payment deadlines at https://students.asu.edu/tuitiondeadlines

Step 6: Purchase Text Books

• • Go online to http://sundevilbookstores.com 

    • Online Education students MUST select West campus

    • Search for the course you registered for

    • Or click the Books link in the My Classes area on MyASU

Step 7: Review the Current Student Resources section (left hand side menu)

• • ASU Academic Calendar (Know Applicable Dates and Deadlines)

  • Student Responsibilities (Policy)

    • ASU Graduate Education Policy

Step 8: Mandatory New Student Orientation

• New student orientation will be held in prior to the start of classes, this is where we will be going over programmatic details and answering questions.

• Just a reminder there’s no need to schedule an advising appointment before orientation, as we’ll cover everything you need then.

Step 9: BEGIN your doctoral studies!!!

• • Login to MyASU

  • Under the "My Classes" tab, you will see the courses in which you are enrolled.  

    • When the course is "Open" it will be hyperlinked.

    • Click on that course and it will bring you into the actual course for you to begin.

  • Review Canvas tutorial.
