Your MEd program may require elective course(s). The table at the end of this page provides an approved list of elective courses. Please select any course(s) from this table to meet program requirements.
A few things to consider:
Literacy Endorsement - The Arizona Department of Education currently requires that all Arizona certified teachers who support learners between K-5th grade obtain the Literacy Endorsement. Part of the literacy endorsement requires coursework, which we offer: TEL 531 & EED 532. If these courses are not part of your program requirements and you must obtain the Literacy Endorsement, TEL 531 & EED 532 might be an option to consider.
Structured English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement - Many schools in Arizona value teacher certificates with a Structured English Immersion Endorsement. Part of the requirement to meet the SEI Endorsement is coursework or professional development in this content. Our institution is an approved provider of the coursework: ELL 515. If this course is not part of your program requirements and you must obtain the SEI Endorsement, ELL 515 might be an option to consider.
Non-Endorsement Recommendations - Please also consider these other faculty-recommended courses: RDG 510 and SPE 588. You can use the table below to review the course description.
