Math

Core 24 requires --> 3.0 Credits

Clarification:

Arlington High School’s Mathematics curriculum offers a continuing program for all students.  The minimum graduation requirement is 3.0 credits in grades 9-12. Students will take the state standardized assessments (SBA) in math to meet graduation requirements. Students not passing this assessment will need to meet with their counselor to discuss alternative options.  The content of Algebra 1 and Geometry is designed to prepare our students for these assessments. Most colleges and universities expect 3 to 4 years of high school mathematics through Algebra II. All students are encouraged to take as much math as possible.

* The 3rd credit of science and the 3rd credit of math are chosen by the student based on the student's interest and High School and Beyond Plan, and approved by the parent or guardian, or if the parent or guardian is unavailable or does not indicate a preference, the school counselor or principal (WAC 180-51-068).
