SEMESTER OVERVIEW

The APU Norway Nursing semester is an exchange semester program that allows nursing students to study the local history and culture and experience nursing in the international community context. Focused on home healthcare and homelessness, students will visit nursing homes, elderly homes, and the community to assess health needs in these areas.

UNRS 383 International Health Nursing 5 Credits (1 didactic, 4 clinical )

UNRS 425 Nursing Research (Online Course) 3 Credits

UNRS 281 Introduction to Global Health Care 1 Credits  

HIST 235 Norwegian History and Culture 3 Credits

Minimum Unit Requirement - 12 Credits, Maximum - 12 Credits

*It is the responsibility of the student to check the APU academic catalog for all prerequisite information. Courses that don’t meet the minimum number of students may be subject to cancellation.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION: 2023 - 2024

Norway Nursing Semester (Group 1) - Full federal, state, and institutional financial aid (except institutional aid that requires on-campus participation) can be applied to this program.


*Since this program is under a grant, students will be able to apply once they are in Norway for a reimbursement of $3200.
