Spain Summer

Semester in Spain

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

APU partners with Semester in Spain (SIS), who hosts a 4-8 week summer study abroad program in the city of Sevilla, promoting immersive learning, intercultural engagement, & inclusive Christian community. Semester in Spain is a program of Trinity Christian College.

Live with a host family, volunteer with a local non-profit, participate in a small group or local church, and connect with a language exchange partner. Diverse students of all Spanish proficiency levels and fields of study are welcomed to participate in an experience centered around personal and faith growth, academic advancement, and professional development. Whether for a semester, summer term, service-learning, or study tour, students will take on learning both in class and on excursions exclusively in Spanish with professors native to Spain!

The faith building component, academic component, and cultural component were the best. I feel like I was able to grow in my faith because of everything we did in Spain... Through this study away opportunity I was able to be integrated into another culture that was new to me, and I believe it helped me grow as a person and change my perspective on my own identity.”
