Northeast Metro 916 Career & Tech offers 20 programs that give high school students the competitive advantage of professional skills, industry certifications, and college credit (in many programs) that give students a head start toward postsecondary success while earning high school elective credit.
Students enrolled in 916 Career & Tech courses come from 13 school districts north and east of the Minneapolis/St Paul area and the coursework is a part of a student's normal school day. Students attend for 105 minutes and spend the remainder of their day at their home high school taking their required core classes.
Transportation is provided, as courses are held on the East Campus of Century College.

Work four days a week in the shop hands-on with only one day in the classroom.
Learn the basics of how to maintain and repair your car for a lifetime, saving your student tens of thousands of dollars.

Tool Proficiency and Maintenance: Developing competence with a range of hand and power tools common in residential construction (e.g., circular saws, drills, levels, hammers, tape measures). Students learn the correct, efficient, and safe use of these tools, along with basic maintenance.
