Children are permitted to use the school telephone only in an emergency situation. The classroom teacher must grant permission in order for a student to use the telephone. Forgotten papers, instruments, or school materials do not constitute an emergency. Students are discouraged to bring personal cell phones to school. However, if a parent wishes for the child to have a cell phone it must remain off and kept inside their book bag during the school day and on the bus ride home. Smart watches that have texting capabilities should not be worn at school by students. The school cannot be held liable if it is lost and/or damaged.
Teachers will not be interrupted during instructional time for telephone calls. If you call during the instructional day you will be given the opportunity to leave a message on his/her voicemail. The teacher will return your call within 24 hours. Please be aware that teachers may not have the opportunity to check their voicemail until the school day is over.
Los estudiantes solo tienen permitido usar el teléfono de la escuela en situaciones de emergencia. El maestro del salón debe otorgar permiso para que un estudiante pueda utilizar el teléfono. Olvidar documentos, instrumentos u otros materiales escolares no constituye una emergencia.
Se recomienda que los estudiantes no traigan teléfonos celulares personales a la escuela. Sin embargo, si un padre o tutor desea que su hijo tenga un teléfono celular, este debe permanecer apagado y guardado dentro de la mochila durante el día escolar y durante el viaje en autobús a casa.
Los relojes inteligentes (smart watches) que tienen capacidad para enviar mensajes de texto no deben ser utilizados por los estudiantes en la escuela. La escuela no se hace responsable si estos dispositivos se pierden o se dañan.
Los maestros no serán interrumpidos durante el tiempo de instrucción para recibir llamadas telefónicas. Si llama durante el día escolar, tendrá la oportunidad de dejar un mensaje en el buzón de voz del maestro. El maestro devolverá su llamada dentro de las 24 horas. Tenga en cuenta que es posible que los maestros no tengan la oportunidad de revisar sus mensajes de voz hasta que finalice la jornada escolar.
