Joining Band & Strings in 2025
Want to see what it's all about? Our Junior Strings, Junior Band, Senior Strings and Senior Band ensembles performed at the Music Recruitment Assembly at 1.45pm on Thursday 31 October in the School Hall.
Senior Band also performed at the Full School Assembly on Thursday 7 November at 1.45pm.
We held an online information evening on Monday 4 November at 7.30pm. If you missed it, you might want to know more About the program or download the pdf info booklet or flip through the slides below for a quick intro and to hear what the instruments sound like.

How to join checklist
✔ Attend the online information evening on Monday 4 November 2024, 7.30pm
Missed the info evening? No problem — view the program booklet or send us an email
✔ Complete a registration form by Monday 11 November 2024
✔ Meet & Greet / instrument fitting in the school hall at lunchtime on Monday 2 December 2024 (students only)
✔ Wait for offers from directors in November/early December
Then hire an instrument and engage a tutor — we'll be in touch about those bits!
Information evening Monday 4 November 2024, 7.30pm
Parents and students are invited to join us for a 2025 information session to be held online at 7.30pm on Monday 4 November.
Information will be provided to help you decide which instrument is best suited to your child.

Meet & Greet (instrument fitting) at school Monday 2 December 2024
Children (parents not required) come to the hall at lunchtime so the Band and Strings team can help find the best-fit instrument.
We'll refer to the preferences in your Registration form and gauge the best fit based on size of instrument to player, previous experience and ensemble needs.
Offers from Directors before end of Term 4, 2024
Following the Meet & Greet, Directors create the various ensembles and lists of instruments and players and make offers to each new player.
★ Then what happens?
Take a break over the summer and look out for emails when school restarts in January 2025.
Hiring an instrument
The Program owns and hires out a limited supply of instruments. These will be allocated in early 2025. If there aren't enough instruments at school, we'll give you details of alternative options.
Finding and engaging a tutor
As part of your offer, you will be given names of a number of tutors who teach your allocated instrument.
You will organise times and days directly with the tutor in early Term 1, 2025.
Fees and payment
Invoices will be sent out in Term 2.
