Soirees 2019

Well done everyone!

Overview

Soirees are an opportunity for our talented students to perform a short piece — with a piano accompanist if they choose — in a friendly environment to a proud and appreciative audience.

Soiree concerts are held over three evenings (26, 27, 28 Aug) in the school hall. See full dates and times below.

Setting up...

Everyone in an ensemble needs to fill in the soiree form to let us know which piece you're playing.

If you are in an ensemble and have not received an invitation to take part please get in touch with the team at anpsmusic@live.com.

On the night...

• Wear comfortable clothing, smart enough to perform in!
• Please arrive at the school hall 5 minutes before the start time
• Bring your sheet music and instrument and set yourself up quickly when you arrive
• Line up on the side where chairs are set up — Heloise and Sophie will have running order
• Just like a regular concert, please listen quietly when others are performing and please stay until the end — it's great encouragement for everyone
• Parents and family are encouraged to come to watch and support their young musicians in the concerts. If you can help setting up chairs for the audience as you arrive, while students get out their music and instruments that would be great!

Please make sure you've emailed us accompanist music for piano if that's what you've discussed with either your tutor or ensemble leader. Let us know asap by email if you're stuck!
