Garden Rational:

Our reasoning for planting this garden is to further impact our community and ecosystem in a positive way. The way we impact our community is through educating our clients on how beneficial Natives are to the ecosystem, but by also giving them a positive experience working with Ames High Sophomores and Native pollinators/ Plants. The less native plants that we have, the less pollinators we have. Natives are hosts to many pollinators which is beneficial to our ecosystem because non native plants host little to none pollinators. The reason pollinators are important to our ecosystem is because they help with reproduction of plants and help with the system of animals that occurs.
