Rationale

The purpose of our project is to plant native plants in hopes of increasing the pollinator population in the Ames community. Pollinators are important to our ecosystem because they are a keystone species to the environment. If pollinators in an ecosystem die out, plants and flowers won’t be able to effectively reproduce and spread. By helping pollinators in the Ames community, we are helping the wildlife in Ames stay healthy and thrive.
