Who Should You Contact?

One of the many great things about our smaller school district is that we know each other, we can see what is happening in our school and in our extracurricular programs, and we can just talk to each other. While the graphic below is meant to be a guide for you on who to talk to and when, we also value that we can really just talk to each other.

The key to the quality of the communication is making sure that the right people are in the conversation. For example, I appreciate hearing from you about your satisfaction, or in some cases dissatisfaction, with a decision that has been made. Your communication ensures that I know how our community perceives our decisions. However, don’t be surprised if the first thing I ask you is, what did the employee involved say when you asked them about the situation? As I’m sure is obvious by this response, I want to ensure that the employees involved have the opportunity to work through a situation for the fastest possible resolution. It doesn’t mean I don’t care or don’t want to be involved; it means that I want our employees to have the opportunity to continue to work with you on solutions. The same is true for board members. Yes, talk to them! Just please know that they will be encouraging the same of you - talk to the employees involved so that we can be a strong team.
