Understanding the Essay

You will be given an essay to read in a group (can see digital versions of the samples on the sub pages - B, F, G, H and J).
- Silently read through it (10 mins)
- Consider:
  - how well it answers the title
  - what the evidence presented
  - how the evidence is justified
  - the focus on knowledge
Discuss the above points with your group
Now look at the rubric and read it again adding notes to identify where it is meeting the rubric.
Discuss what you think with your group - consider if is in the following grade group 1-4 marks, 5-6 marks, 7-10 marks
