Class participation expectations
Participate fully - this means speaking and listening and allowing others to do the same.
Share verbal space. 3 before me...be aware of how much you’re talking in comparison to others, and don’t interrupt when others are speaking.
If you have a perspective to share which would benefit others, it is your moral imperative to do so!
Ask questions when you don’t understand something
Respect confidentiality. Don’t talk about the people in your group to those who are not in your group. No gossip.
No ‘put downs’, non-verbal or otherwise.
Treat everyone in the group with respect.
2. What ethical responsibility we all have in the TOK classroom to contribute to shared knowledge?
i.e. if a person has a thought/idea about the discussion topic, do they have a responsibility to share that thought with the class, or not? And what responsibility do you have in listening to that thought/idea?
