Spanish

Spanish offers students the opportunity to develop linguistic skills and competencies whilst exploring the wider Spanish speaking world and cultures. Our subject gives students the ability to understand and apply the Spanish language in a range of different spoken and written contexts. Students study a range of topic areas such as likes and interests, family and holidays as well as the skills needed to interact in real life situations in a Spanish speaking country. As a subject, Spanish develops the ability to think quickly, adapt in real time and literacy skills. Students also explore the different cultural aspects of life in different Spanish speaking countries around the world.
