Welcome to New Rickstones Academy!
I would like to extend to you a very warm welcome to New Rickstones Academy.
We are a dynamic school where students of all abilities achieve. We are committed to fostering a supportive and nurturing community where everyone can reach their full potential in a safe environment.
We believe that who you become is just as important as what you achieve, and we take great pride in helping each student thrive and fulfil their potential in our caring, learning community
We have a real belief that everyone can succeed and provide students with all the tools they require to do so. Our curriculum is designed to develop our 3 key drivers: Mastery, Character and Perspective. These 3 drivers provide a framework to deliver excellent learning, personal conduct and development, and pride in being part of our community.
Mastery: Developing thinking from just simply understanding to expertise; students grow to be able to think creatively about problems and demonstrate a fluency of skills to apply in any context. They are ambitious and committed to their learning.
Character: We expect far more from our students than just academic success. They will be confident and resilient and importantly, they will do the right thing, even when no one is looking.
Perspective: Students get to experience life beyond the classroom and how they might fit into the wider world around them. Trips and extracurricular activities are varied, well attended, and provide students with memories for years to come.
Everything we undertake is to allow students at New Rickstones Academy to be safe, to be happy, to be the best they can be, and most importantly, to be proud to call this their school. Our responsibility is to ensure that we fulfil our aims and build on our achievements to enable current and future students from New Rickstones Academy to be well prepared for the challenges of life in the 21st century.
Enjoy browsing our website and please do get in touch if you would like to come and look around.
Kind Regards
Mrs Kath Bellchambers
