Students at Bexleyheath Academy are set homework on a regular weekly cycle. Homework is set at 08:45 every Monday and should be submitted prior to 23:45 on Sunday. Homework will be used to revisit previously learnt material, providing students with an opportunity to consolidate their learning, outside of lessons. Research has shown that homework that is short and frequent is more effective than extended pieces of homework; furthermore, research has also shown that the most effective type of homework, is homework which includes the rehearsal of previously learnt material.
