This session we have been reviewing the 'charters' which we use in school to help everyone to remember the actions which duty bearers (the grown up people) and the rights holders (the children) have in ensuring that rights are alive and well across our school.  The improvement Squad were given with the challenging  tasks of , identifying the appropriate rights, actions and coming up with a design which connects with our school.  Each class creates their own charter at the beginning of the school year, so the Squad decided to create three charters, which cover some of the shared spaces within school.

They decided to use the schools 'values' character to illustrate the different rights/actions in each of these areas and we are delighted with the result.  We shared the new charters in assembly today, with adults describing the actions they will as duty bears and Squad members explaining the actions they will... to respect their rights and the rights of others.   You will soon see these displayed in appropriate places around the school.   If you want to have a closer look at the text, a 'zoomed in' version is available HERE.
