Attention students! The PSAT is this Saturday at William Floyd High School.

If you registered for the exam, please arrive at the North Entrance before 7:45 am. You will be given your room assignment when you enter the building.

The test will begin promptly at 8 am and end around 12:30 pm.

Be sure to bring 2 #2 pencils and a calculator.

Do not bring a cellphone.

All hats and hoods must be taken off before the start of the exam.

*Please note that all scientific calculators will be permitted as well as most graphing calculators.

The Girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated Brentwood by a score of 5-3. The next home game is Wednesday vs Pat-Med at 4:00. Come support the seniors in their final home game. ​

Yesterday afternoon the Varsity Field Hockey team ended their season with a 1-0 win over Huntington. Great season girls.

Attention All Seniors: Sienna College will be in the Senior Café today from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Anyone interested may stop by and speak with the representative.

Attention all members of the National Honor Society:

We will be having a mandatory meeting on Monday, October 16th in the LGI from 2:15-3:00pm.

Attention juniors and seniors, testing for the ASVAB Career Exploration Program will take place on Monday, after school, in the Senior Food Court.

This aptitude exam is free.

This program integrates the aptitude assessment and your personal interests. Exam scores can be used to help achieve your career goals or you can release to military recruiters if you plan on joining the military after high school.

If interested, please sign-up in the Main Office before noon on October 16th.

Attention all students! Spirit Week starts next week!

On Monday, October 16th it is America Monday! Show your patriotism by wearing RED, WHITE AND BLUE!

Tuesday, October 17th is Tie-Dye Tuesday! Do colors make you happy? Wear your tie-dye clothing and make it a colorful day!

Wednesday, October 18th is On Wednesdays We Wear Pink! Support breast cancer awareness by wearing pink.

Thursday, October 19th is Disney T-shirt Day! May you have a magical day!

Friday, October 20th is Floyd Friday! Dress in Green and White to show your Floyd Pride! Go Colonials!

Attention all students. Are you interested in attending the Pep Rally and Homecoming Dance? Tickets for these events will go on sale at the 2 West and 3 West offices beginning on Friday, October 13th. Please remember that you must have a valid student ID card to obtain a ticket and to attend. ONLY William Floyd students are permitted to attend these events. Please note that the tickets for the Pep Rally are free and on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are limited so get them while they last! Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be $3.00. Get your tickets before and after school or during your lunch period.

Did one of your students or a staff member do something wonderful this past month? Please take a moment to recognize this act by nominating him/her for student member of the month or faculty member of the month.

We need nominations for students from 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only!

Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers do as well. Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher who has had an impact on you in a positive way.

Please drop off all nominations to the 1 West office.
