Attention all Juniors: Now is the time to schedule your Junior Conference. This is a great opportunity to meet with your counselor to start discussing your post high school plans and begin the college search process. Please come down to the Counseling Center to schedule your appointment.

Attention Advanced Placement Students: All AP students registered to take an AP exam in May must attend a Pre-administration session to complete their exam-related paperwork. Session 1 is on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 1:33 in the LGI for students with the last name A-M. Session 2 is on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 1:33 in the LGI for students with the last name N-Z. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Matthews in Room 410. ​

Do you need community service hours? Volunteers are needed to help at College & Career Night on Tuesday, April 24 from 5:00 – 8:30. Stop by the 2 West Office to sign up today!

Attention William Floyd Students in grades nine through eleven: It’s time to vote for your class council representatives and executive board members for the 2018-2019 school year. Please log onto the High School library website and click on the voting link. Make sure you have a say in who is representing you!

Need assistance with your Spanish or Italian classwork or homework? The Foreign Language Honor Society will be offering Spanish and Italian tutoring for students who would like further assistance with their Spanish and Italian classwork or homework every Tuesday in Room 307 during extra help. This is a great way to prepare for the checkpoint A and B exam.

Yearbooks are on sale and supplies are limited. We will need to receive your order by April 30 in order to guarantee you a book. If you have not ordered your yearbook already, please bring cash, check or money order made out to William Floyd High School Yearbook to Room 136 (Mrs. Janowicz) or Room 257 (Dr. Incantalupo) as soon as possible. You can also order your yearbook online by going to the high school homepage. Don’t miss out on the memories! Order your yearbook today!

Interact Club members need to return their permission slip for Applebee's as soon as possible to Room 147, prior to this Thursday’s meeting at 2:15 in Room 147. Don't be late. All members should attend and new members seeking community involvement and community service are welcome.

There will be a Stony Brook STEP meeting Wednesday, April 11 in Room 228 from 2:10-3:10. We will be preparing for the STEAM symposium. Please make sure you attend.

Attention William Floyd Students: Have you started thinking about College and your future plans? If you have, then you should consider attending the William Floyd College and Career Fair that is being held on Tuesday, April 24 from 6:00 to 8:30. With over 100 Colleges, Universities and Career schools that will be in attendance, it is sure to be a great night! We hope to see you there!

Attention all Students: Please be advised that on Friday, April 13, the North Lobby area will be closed beginning at 10:29 am through 11:15 am. Please plan to reroute your passage to 5th period and 6th period to avoid the North Lobby.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls lacrosse team for their 14-3 victory against Hampton Bays yesterday at home. Great job girls and good luck against Middle Country on Wednesday.

Attention Juniors: Don't miss out on your chance to take the SAT at William Floyd High School on Saturday, May 5. The last day to register for the exam is April 25. Students must register for the exam online through the College Board website. For more information or to request fee waivers, please see your Guidance Counselor or Mrs. Matthews in Room 410.

Did one of your students, faculty or staff members do something wonderful this past month? Please take a moment to recognize this act by nominating him/her for student of the month or faculty/staff member of the month. We need nominations for students from 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade. Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only. Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers and staff do as well. Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s Office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher or staff member who has had an impact on you in a positive way. Please drop all nominations to the 1 West Office.

On Friday, April 13, there will be no extra help and no credit recovery. There will be no 2:10 and no 3:15 buses. All students must leave the building at 1:33.

Extra-help in the Library is cancelled for today because there is a problem with the heating system. The Library is open for scheduled classes only. All gym, medical, study hall and lunch students must report directly to your assigned classroom. You will not be able to sign into the Library today.
