Did one of your students, faculty or staff members do something wonderful this past month? Please take a moment to recognize this act by nominating him/her for student of the month or faculty/staff member of the month. We need nominations for students from 9^th, 10^th, 11^th and 12^th grade. Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only! Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers and staff do as well. Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s Office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher or staff member who has had an impact on you in a positive way. Please drop off all nominations to the 1 West Office.

Attention Seniors: Parking applications are now available in the 1 West, 2 West and 1 East Offices. You must be a graduating senior with class D driver’s license, registration and insurance card to get a parking sticker.

Are you interested in local history? Do you enjoy learning about our community and school? If you answered yes to these questions, then the History Club is for you! Our first History Club meeting is Wednesday, October 17, during Extra Help in the Rita Rech Museum of William Floyd History, which is located right here in the High School. If you would like more information about the History Club or the museum, see Ms. Devenny in the High School Library.

Attention Seniors: Your unofficial transcript is available for your review on the student portal this week only. Please take the time to review your transcript. If you have any questions or concerns, please see your School Counselor by Friday, October 12. Official transcripts with class rank should be available by the end of October.

Attention all Juniors and Seniors: On October 25, during 4^th period, Columbia University will be making a presentation in the counseling Center. If you are interested in attending, please come down to the Counseling Center to sign up.

The William Floyd Community Summit will be hosting its 2^nd Annual Broadway Variety Show. Auditions will be held at the Community Library on October 22 and 23 from 3-5pm and October 28 from 12-4pm. All selections must be from a musical. Singers, dancers and actors are all welcome to try out.
