Attention all 10th and 11th grade students: Don’t miss out on your chance to take the PSAT on Saturday, October 13. You can register today and pay for the exam in the High School Main Office. The cost for the exam is $16.00. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the William Floyd School District. The last day to register is Friday, September 28. Please also be aware that the PSAT is on the same day as the Homecoming Game and will cause a conflict if you are in the parade. Contact your school counselor or see Mrs. Matthews in Room 410 if you have any questions.

Attention current and inquiring Stony Brook STEP students: There is a meeting on Wednesday, September 26 from 2:10-3:10 in Room 228. This meeting is mandatory. If you would like to run for an office, please see Mrs. Hernandez or Ms. Swiss in Room 254 before the meeting.

The Financial Aid Director from St. Joseph’s College will be providing information on the financial aid process.

Attention all seniors interested in participating in the Senior Dance: If you would like to be in the dance, please sign up with Ms. Giacalone in Room 155 during extra help. Please do not come during the day. You must be in a fall sport or a member of Student Government for the past two years.

Members of the Foreign Language Honor Society will have their first meeting today, from 2:10 - 3:00 in the Library.

There is an Interact Club meeting tomorrow, September 26 in Room 147 at 2:15. New members are welcome, come find out what the club is all about. We have an upcoming community service event this Sunday. Join us and start building your community service now, it looks great for college so come to Room 147 tomorrow at 2:15 and get involved now!

Have you ever wanted to form a rock band? Ever want to work with other musicians to write and play songs? Come down to Room 124 on Wednesday, September 26 at 2:15 for an informational meeting for the School of Rock Club. All genres of music are welcome!

Attention all boys Varsity and JV basketball players: Mandatory height and vertical jump baseline testing will begin after school today in the Weight Room. All players should be dressed, ready and in the Weight Room by 3.

Attention all athletes on a fall sports team other than football: The fall athletic sticker meeting will be held today during the extra help period (1:35-2:10) in the West Gym. Attendance by all student athletes and coaches is mandatory and all must bring their WFHS ID cards. Please see your coach if you have any questions.

Please join the William Floyd HS Medical Club for our next meeting on Monday, October 1 from 2:15-3 in Room 245 to discuss our fall charity drive. Anyone interested in pursuing a career in a medical or allied healthcare field is encouraged to come. Please see Ms. Randall with any questions.

Varsity Field Hockey celebrated its 2nd win in a row yesterday with a 2 to 1 win over Patchogue-Medford.

On Friday we had 6-0 shutout against Copaigue.
