Please join the William Floyd HS Medical Club for our first meeting of the school year on Monday, September 24 from 2:15-3 in Room 245 for introductions and to choose our officers. Anyone interested in pursuing a career in a medical or allied healthcare field is encouraged to come. Please see Ms. Randall with any questions.

Attention all 10th and 11th grade students: Don’t miss out on your chance to take the PSAT on Saturday, October 13. You can register today and pay for the exam in the High School Main Office. The cost for the exam is $16.00. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the William Floyd School District. The last day to register is Friday, September 28. Please also be aware that the PSAT is on the same day as the Homecoming Game and will cause a conflict if you are in the parade. Contact your school counselor or see Mrs. Matthews in Room 410 if you have any questions.

Attention current and inquiring Stony Brook STEP students: There is a meeting on Wednesday, September 26 from 2:10-3:10 in Room 228. This meeting is mandatory. If you would like to run for an office, please see Mrs. Hernandez or Ms. Swiss in Room 254 before the meeting.

Attention All Seniors: Life Touch will be in the LGI on September 24, 25 and 26 starting at 2:30 for any seniors who have not taken their senior portraits. Please call Lifetouch directly at 1-800-736-4753 to schedule your appointment now.

After school credit recovery starts on Monday, September 24. All students should report immediately to their classes at 2:10.

Attention All Juniors and Seniors: Are you ready to learn about financial aid? We invite you and your family to join us for Financial Aid Night on Thursday, September 27 at 7:00pm in the LGI, Room 177. The Financial Aid Director from St. Joseph’s College will be providing information on the financial aid process.

Attention all Homecoming king and queen candidates: There is a mandatory meeting today, Friday, September 21 in Room 117 during extra help. Please see Ms. Fortier or Ms. LiCavoli if you cannot attend.

Do you have what it takes to be part of our Quizbowl team? Quizbowl will be holding its first meeting on September 26 from 2:10-3:10 in Room 401. Please see Mr. Gross in Room 401 for additional details about our competitive academic team.
