Attention all Seniors: Do you need help filling out your college applications? Join us for Apps and Snacks in the Senior Café this Tuesday, November 6. The counselors will be assisting and guiding you on your college process. If you are interested, you must sign up in the Counseling Center. Light snacks will be provided.

All boys interested in trying out for Winter Bowling, there will be an informational meeting on Monday, November 5 at 3:00 in Room 137.

Attention all wrestlers and those wishing to wrestle this year: There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, November 7 in the Wrestling Room. All forms and information will be given out. The first day of practice will be November 12. If you are unable to attend please see Coach Bradice in Room 137 or Coach Harris in Room 232 before Wednesday.

Did one of your students, faculty or staff members do something wonderful this past month? Please take a moment to recognize this act by nominating him/her for student of the month or faculty/staff member of the month. We need nominations for students from 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only! Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers and staff do as well. Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s Office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher or staff member who has had an impact on you in a positive way. Please drop off all nominations to the 1 West Office.

It is starting to get cold out and some students and staff may be in need of a warm coat. The Cosmetology students are sponsoring an on-going coat drive. Our motto: Have a Coat, Leave a Coat. Need a Coat, Take a Coat. The coat rack is located by the South Lobby.

After school math regents prep is a great opportunity to brush up on your skills for your upcoming regents in January and June. Algebra 1 regents review will be in Room 306 and geometry regents review will be in Room 417 today.

There will be a mandatory meeting for any girl interested in trying out for the Winter Track Team on Wednesday, November 7 in Room 162. The meeting will run from 2:10 - 3:00. Make sure that your physical is up to date. Any questions see Coach Ryan in Room 162.

The Varsity Football team made it 9 and 0 on the season by beating Central Islip 42 to 0 in the playoff quarter finals.

All boys interested in running Winter Track must attend an informational meeting this Wednesday, November 7 during extra help in the 10th Grade Cafeteria.

The library is open for scheduled classes only this week. All lunch students must report directly to the cafeteria. This applies to all students, even those with permanent library passes. You will not be able to sign into the library.

Attention all boys interested in trying out for boys Varsity or JV basketball: We will hold our third and final pre-tryout meeting to collect required paperwork for tryouts. The meeting will be held Thursday, November 8 in Room 150 immediately following the extra help period. You must have a valid sports physical, academic/code of conduct, and a signed emergency card. Please see the school nurse about your sports physical.
