Member Information
South Central Kansas Distance Learning Network's primary purpose is to bring video conference technology into districts and institutions. A major role of the network is to coordinate classes over video between districts at a fraction of the cost of hiring a full time instructor when hiring is not a possibility. Using video conferencing technology districts share high school and dual credit classes. SCKDLN is also a member of KAIDE (Kansas Association for Interactive Distance in Education) and work with schools outside of the network to send and receive needed classes.
There are many uses for video conference technology in districts. Attending meetings, hosting meeting, professional development, and connecting with zoos, museums, and experts in the classroom are all possible with simple video conferencing. SCKDLN will aide in purchasing, setting up, and troubleshooting video conference equipment. The network provides training and networking to help instructors and facilitators work with the equipment. For more information or to become a member, contact the Network Director.
