Library work has a set of ethics that all library employees should understand. This set of ethics help us to preserve our users' rights to privacy, to fair and equitable treatment, and help ensure that people who need information have access to it.
Librarianship as a profession is motivated by its shared professional values. We make decisions by thinking about what is best for our community as well as turning to our professional value statements.
