Warren Cook was a pioneer of the field of industrial hygiene. He was a founding member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and its second president in 1940. He also founded many of the AIHA local chapters, specifically the Chicago and Carolinas chapters. He also held the position of president of the Michigan chapter in the 1950s.
Every year, we commemorate Mr. Cook by hosting the Warren Cook Discussional. This event brings together students, faculty, staff, and IH professionals to network, discuss current issues in the field, and share ideas and solutions. This year marks the 53rd year of this tradition.
The Warren Cook Discussional will be held on October 27-28, 2016 in the Michigan League. Students are heavily encouraged to attend the networking sessions and student panel. More information about the event can be found on the COHSE event page.
