Remote Administration

Remote Administration is a critical and vital component to ME-IT operations, as it allows us to quickly and efficiently respond to requests.

ME-IT utilizes remote support software called SimpleHelp. Details of software can be found at https://simple-help.com/.

A service will be installed on most staff & lab environment computers allowing ME-IT to remotely assist with issues ranging from security to software installations. If you have any questions regarding the remote administration service, please email me-it@umich.edu.

Remote Monitoring Policy:

ME-IT will never remotely monitor someone's screen/desktop/activity, unless specifically requested for computing-performance related issues.
