Remove the battery connection from the motherboard.
Put the device into Dev mode.
On the Chrome Start Screen to enter the command prompt.
Press Ctrl + Alt + → (Ctrl-Alt-F2)
If the prompt flashes and goes immediately back to the start screen:
Press Ctrl + Alt + ← (Ctrl-Alt-F1) than Press Ctrl + Alt + → (Ctrl-Alt-F2)
Type: root
Press Enter
Type: flashrom --wp-status
Press Enter
Type: flashrom --wp-disable
Press Enter
Type: flashrom --wp-range 0 0
Press Enter
Type: vpd -l
Press Enter
***If you see the field labeled: "stable_device_secret_DO_NOT_SHARE" You will need to delete this line to remove the device enrollment.

EduGear CMT or any device that only has the MLB_serial_number field in the VPD List: If it only has this field in the vpd list it is a factory refurbished board, you will have to manually add in the serial number field. This example is for the eduGear CMT device. vpd -s saves the field to the system even if the original field is not there. The rest of the fields are not necessarily needed. Same process as changing the original serial_number line in the vpd list.
