Quality Control Policy and Procedures

Overview

The following guide aims to outline procedural guidelines for handling devices from a quality control perspective as well in aide in workflow management as any device moves through the quality control process. The policies set forth in this guide are meant to cover any device that may typically be repaired here at The Repair Depot. Policies and guidelines set forth in this manual are subject to change.

Quality control is the process of verifying that each repaired device meets the quality standards of The Repair Depot. The QC Technician is the last line of defense that ensures all devices. Once a QC Fail issue is found, the QC Technician will stop the QC Process and fail the device with sufficient notes describing the fail issue. It is the Repair Technician's responsibility to self QC the device again, to find any other issues that might warrant a QC Fail, before submitting back to the QC Process. QC notes should always be objective, impersonal, and professional.

When receiving a full unit, or swapping out a motherboard, the devices must be left in developer mode so that QC can check to see if the DO.NOT.SHARE line has been deleted or not.

*Update As of 1/9/18

On motherboard replacements we must check to see if it is school locked or domain locked. All you have to do is sign into our WiFi and continue the setup process of the device until you get into the sign in page, there it should be completely blank with no '@' domains.
