Task 3: Backing Track and Rap

In this task, you will be working in groups of 2-3 students.

**Backing Track:

1) Make sure there are four bars in the intro and outro. here

2) For the Verse, the backing track needs to be simple with strong beats so that it is easy to rap.

3) The Chorus can have more layers of sound to make it sound interesting.

4) Make sure that your backing track intro, verse, chorus sections sound different.

3) Make sure each person in your group has a copy of the backing track.

Select a topic that you all have an interest in. Eg:

-Sport- Rabbitohs Vs Roosters

-PS4 Vs XBOX

-Bullying and the negative effects

-Beach-surfing

2) Verse:

Each person will need to write their own verse (a minimum of eight lines) in how they feel about the chosen topic.

The whole group are to write the lyrics together for this section.

The chorus needs to have a minimum of four lines that are catchy and easily memorised.

**Structure:

Intro: 8 bars

Verse 1: 16 or 32 bars

Chorus: 8 bars

Verse 2: 16 or 32 bars

Chorus: 8 bars

Verse 3: 16 or 32 bars

Chorus: 8 bars

Outro: 8 bars
