Unit Description:

This unit provides a broad overview of what sound is.

Exploring the concept that sound is created by vibrations whether it be hit/shaken/blown/or scraped on any object.

It commences with experimenting with objects and instruments, examining how sound travels differently in various environments. The unit then develops into categorising and naming of instruments. Traditional Western and non-musical instruments are examined in this unit.
