Introduction to the Keyboard

On the piano there are 8 notes that have individual letters

that create an OCTAVE. This order of notes are a pattern on the piano as you will see on your keyboard.

They are :

1. C

2. D

3. E

4. F

5. G

6. A

7. B

8. C- Repeats back to the first note of the pattern.

a) What happens to the pitch when you play the notes ascending ( Upwards) in order? Eg C,D,E,F,G,A,B,C
