We're wrapping up our unit on writing fiction and the students are all drafting their stories this week. Some kids will be bringing home their writing notebooks to work on their stories and even if you don't see any work coming home this week you can still ask about their writing. We've focused on setting, plot and characters. Anyone should be able to tell you about the conflict or problem that needs to be resolved (plot) as well as describe the various character traits and talk about where the story takes place (setting)
