Weekly Class Focus:
Preschool: Will be working on the letter Hh, Orange, Triangle, and the number 8. Theme is Pumpkins.
PreK: Will be working on the letter Hh, Reviewing Red, Diamond, the number 9, and making ABB patterns. Theme is Hats
Please work with your child on using their words when need something instead of their hands or body. We will continue to work on writing skills. Please remind your child to hold the pencil/pen the correct way and to start letters from the top to the bottom.
Stella & Dot Jewelry Fundraiser
We will be having a Jewelry Fundraiser party on Oct. 26th at 6 pm
This is an optional fundraiser
Family and Friends are welcome to join us or shop from the catalogs.
Please check your child's mailbox the flyer with more information and catalogs.

Late Pick Up
Just a friendly reminder your child needs to be picked up by 12:15 for morning friends and 5:45 for full day friends.
Late Fee Rate:
$30 for every 10 minutes
Please make sure you are on time. Teachers have to stay beyond their normal schedule to cover late students.

THURSDAY: ”Stomp Out Drugs!” ~ Wear CRAZY SOCKS
FRIDAY: ”Drugs are SCARY!” ~ HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

HALLOWEEN REMINDERS:
Halloween: Annual Halloween parade and classroom pot luck party will be held on October 30th.
Halloween Pot Luck Party will be at 12:00
Please sign up to bring a food item (sign up sheet by the binders)
Please come with your child even if its not your child's regular day
The Halloween Parade (Preschool - 8) starts at 1:45 pm.
Students may come to school dressed in their Halloween costumes. (see costume notes below)
Students are not required to have costumes.
Halloween Costumes:
We ask that parents and students observe the following guidelines to keep the costumes simple, safe, and practical.
Please select costumes that are functional for school. Be conscious of potential trip-hazards or anything that might pinch or puncture.
Please make sure you choose costumes that allow your child to use the restroom without assistance. Please stay away from full body costumes.
Masks are not acceptable and may not be worn in class. Masks have the disadvantage of being hot and limit vision.
Costumes that reflect frightening, bloody, or gory characters are not permitted.
Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to guns, swords, or knives, are not allowed.
If you are unsure if a costume is acceptable, we ask that you choose another one for the school day.
Change of Clothes
The days are starting to get colder. Please exchange your child's summer clothes for warmer ones.

Shoes
All Students need a change of clothes to be kept at school. They are not just for potty accidents.

October 26th - Stella & Dot Jewelry Fundraiser Party at 6 pm
October 30th - Halloween Party 12:00 followed by Whole school Halloween Parade.
November 11th - No School - Veterans Day
November 12th, 13th, 19th, & 20th - No Hot Lunch (half day main school only)
November 23rd to 27th - No School Thanksgiving Break
