The weather is changing and children's behaviors begin to switch. Please talk to your child about making good choices at school. Please also talk to your child about their day and reinforce things they have learned that day.
New Addition to Behavior
PreK (Preschool Nappers) has begun using a new behavior chart as an addition to their sticker charts.
Each student will start on white 'Ready to Learn' and move up on the chart for making great choices or down for making poor choices.
We refer to anything above white as Happy Land and below white as Sad Land. They always have the option to move back up.
At lunch time they will get stickers on their sticker chart depending on what color they ended up on.
White (Ready to Learn) - 1 sticker, Orange (Good Day) - 2 stickers, Blue (Great Job) - 3 stickers, Purple: (Outstanding) - 4 stickers, Top of chart 5 stickers, Off the chart (teachers shirt) - 6 stickers.
If they go below White: Yellow (Think About It) - no stickers lost, Green (Time Out)- lose 1 sticker, Red (Miss Recess) lose 2 stickers, bottom of the chart lose 3 stickers.
At Nap time everyone will start over and we will add the Preschool nappers.
Wherever they land on will determine the amount of stickers they get at the end of the day. (When they leave).
Re-Registration 2016/17 School Year
Its hard to believe but it's that time of year when we need to start planning for the upcoming school year. Please click on this link Re-Registration Checklist to re-register as well as look at the Tuition & Fees 2016-17.
Please make a separate payment for registration fees (your child's spot is not guaranteed until reg fees are paid).
Registration is now open to the public. Re-register soon to hold your child's spot.
Our PreK class is already half way full on most days.
Please refer a friend to our wonderful preschool.
Summer School
Unfortunately we had a low number of students in our summer school program this summer. We will not be offering summer school this year. I put any registration forms and fees in your child's mailbox.
Easter Egg Hunt
We will be having our Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday March 24th at 10am.
Please bring 12 plastic eggs filled with treats (stickers, erasers... etc) and taped closed. PLEASE NO NUTS!!!! Eggs need to be at school by Monday and Tuesday March 21st and 22nd so they are ready for the hunt.
Please have your child bring their own Easter Basket labeled with their name. If you do not normally attend on Thursdays please feel free to bring your child for the hunt but you must stay with them as we are full on Thursdays.
School will be dismissed at 12:00 (minimum day). We will not be serving Hot Lunch.
Easter Break
School will be closed from 12pm on Thursday March 24th and will resume on Monday April 4th
We hope you have a wonderful Easter with your family.
PreK Gradation Gowns
It’s time to start preparing for PreK graduation. I have found a company that will ship the graduation gowns for free if we order them all together and before the end of March. Please speak to a teacher when you pick up or drop off your child to choose a color and size. The gowns are $13 each… please make checks payable to St. Stanislaus as I will be writing one check to mail to the company. We will not be doing caps instead we will be making something in class for them to wear.
Please have orders in by 3/23 in order to get free shipping. I apologize for the short notice.
Family Project
Please create collage with pictures that relate to your family. The collage can contain anything that is important to your family that you want your child to share. The collage can be as small or as big as you would like.
Your child will get the opportunity to "present" their collage to their classmates, if they would like.
This activity is not required, but we would really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedules to participate.
Please complete the project by April 4th or 5th when we come back from Easter Break. You may turn it in early if you would like.
Please see the handout in child's mailbox for more information.
Paint Nite (from St. Stan PTG)
Grab your girlfriends and come join us for a night of fun at our first ever PTG event. Guided by a local artisit, you'll spend two hours laughing with friends and painting a masterpiece at St. Stanislaus Catholic School Gym. The best part is, you don't have to be Picasso; you just have to be inspired.
Purchase your tickets today and be ready to pick up a paintbrush - the night is your canvas.
This fun event will take place on Thursday April 14th and will start at 7:00pm sharp.
Please arrive by 6:00pm to purchase your beverages, snacks and grab your seat.
This event is for the 21 and older crowd.
Tickets are limited, so get yours today. Click here to purchase your tickets
Lunch Calendar
Please check the calendar to see what we are eating at school each day by either clicking on the calendar tab above or looking at the calendar by the lunch sticks.
Kindly note we can only encourage your child to eat the lunch offered to them we will not force them to eat.
If your child will be arriving after 8:40 please call the school and let us know if they will be eating hot lunch so we can order a lunch for them.
Recycling
We recycle aluminum cans and plastic bottles with the big school.
Please bring your recyclables to the preschool by Wednesday of each week.
All money we make goes towards extra projects and teacher supplies.
Mark your Calendar
Saturday, April 30th for Comcast Care Day - 7:00am to 1:00pm. This year, St. Stanislaus Catholic School has been selected to be their Comcast Care Day recipient. This is a great honor and a great opportunity for us to do some mass clean ups, upgrades, etc.. around the school, the preschool and the gymnasium. Comcast will send a crew of Comcast volunteers to assist us in completely identified projects and Comcast graciously pays for all the supplies. They need our help, though. They ask that our parents and students volunteer their time and talent on that day as well. As a bonus, they will give us a grant based on the number of volunteers that show up. The funding can be between $10 - $20 per volunteer. The more volunteers, including children, grandparents, uncles, aunts, neighbors, etc., the more funding for the school.
Parent Volunteers
We are seeking volunteers to help out in Preschool and PreK.
If you are interested in volunteering in your child's classroom please sign up on the calendar by the sign in binders.
We ask that only one PreK and one Preschool parent sign up each day.
PreK preferred volunteer time is from 10-11. Preschool parents 8-12:30.
Please sign up for no more than 3 spots a month.
Gentle Reminders
Please refer to this link Attire or click on Attire in the side bar to see the changes we have made this year with the dress code. Please pay special attention to the section on Shoes.
If your child wears rain-boots to school please also bring a pair of school appropriate shoes to wear during class time.
Please make sure you label all items your child brings to school, especially jackets. We've found that more than one student may own the same jacket/sweater. We will do our best to keep track of your child's outer wear but can only see so much.
