Program Description
Purpose: To provide a developmentally appropriate program for children ages 2.9-6 years old and ultimately preparing the children for Kindergarten using Exceed Curriculum.
Programs:
We offer two curriculums:
Preschool - ages 2.9 - 3 years
Pre-Kindergarten - ages 4 - 6 years
We offer two schedules, preschool and pre-kindergarten students may sign up for either schedule
Full Day - 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Morning - 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Goals:
To provide a safe, nurturing, loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged, free choice decisions offered, social skills acquired, and individuality respected.
To provide for each child's physical well being while in our care.
To provide opportunities to develop large motor skills and coordination through developmentally appropriate physical activities.
To provide an environment where curiosity about the world and enthusiasm for learning and creativity encouraged.
To provide an environment where the child knows the expectations and limits where he/she can learn self-discipline. To shape their will without breaking their spirit.
To offer opportunities where the child can gain an age appropriate understanding of God and His plan for us.
To create an atmosphere that promotes an appreciation for beauty and nature.
Basic Services: To provide a trained staff to effectively provide supervision, guidance, and observation working toward the goals of the program. Assessments will be completed regularly of developmentally appropriate skills. Conferences with teacher and parent will be held as needed to provide parents with information to better understand their child's individual progress and needs.
Planned Social, Educational, and Recreational Activities: All instructional programs will include developmentally appropriate activities following our curriculum and outside resources. Recreational activities will incorporate the development of large and small motor skills as well as creativity through games, stories, dramatic play and free play.
Curriculum: Areas: Religion, Art, Cognitive Development, Dramatic Play, Fine Motor Skills, Large Motor Skills, Science, Language Development, Math Concepts, and Music.
