Birthdays
Congratulations on your child's birthday! We know this is a very special occasion, and many parents like to celebrate with their child's class.
We kindly ask that parents adhere to the following guidelines:
With prior notice, treats can be brought in for snack time.
Check with the Director or teacher for any food allergies.
Use the following guidelines when planning food celebrations:
Nutritional snacks are preferred: Muffins, oatmeal cookies, fruit, vegetables with dip, string cheese, granola bars, pudding, etc.
Beverage ideas: Milk or fruit juice. No punch or soda please!
Mini cupcakes are preferred over cake (candles may not be used in the classroom).
Special birthday plates, cups and napkins can be brought in for the celebration.
Additional Notes:
If you plan to have a birthday party outside the classroom and your intent is to invite only a few classmates, give the invitations to the Director or teacher to give to parents. This will avoid hurt feelings.
If your child’s birthday is during the summer months, your child can still celebrate their birthday with the class. Pick a date, perhaps the 6 month mark or the month prior, and follow the guidelines above.
