Jerry Byrne has served the Kent County Road Commission (KCRC) for more than 40 years and was named managing director in October 2023. Prior to his current role, he led KCRC’s maintenance division and local road construction for over two decades. Throughout his career, Jerry has built strong partnerships with the Michigan Department of Transportation, Kent County Emergency Response, townships, and neighboring jurisdictions, playing a key role in resource planning, emergency response coordination, and collaborative road maintenance efforts. Jerry also serves as president of the County Road Association’s Board of Directors and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Aquinas College.
