Flows over Cylinders and Spheres

Both frictional and pressure drag can be significant when there is flow over cylinders and spheres.

• For low Reynolds numbers (Re <10) the drag force is primarily due to friction drag.

• For High Reynolds numbers (Re>5000) the drag force is primarily due to pressure drag.
