ABOUT MR. HOPKINS: I have been teaching high school social studies for 31 years. I currently teach at the Singapore American School, where I have spent 24 of those 33 years. ABOUT THIS COURSE: AP Economics is an introductory course in microeconomics and macroeconomics. It is the equivalent of college introductory courses in these disciplines. The course at SAS was established by Jim Baker in 1990. Jim has written extensively about the history of Singapore and Americans in the Lion City.
