You are going to write a narrative about an Olympic athlete, getting lost in Rio, Brazil.
Things to think about:
Names of your characters
How did he/ she become lost?
How was the problem resolved?

Hiwi the Kiwi
Walt: Narrate a story about Kai Moana that teaches others things we need to remember
Last week we went to the Hiwi the Kiwi assembly and Minstrel challenged us to write a story about one of the lessons we learnt during his presentation. Do you remember him saying that the song Kai Moana was a song that told of all the important lessons he had for us?

Identify 2-3 lessons that we need to remember and could teach others
Write a story about one of these lessons learned during the special assembly
Your stories need to be finished and published to your blogs by Thursday to go into the draw to win the amazing Fishing Rod thanks to Hiwi the Kiwi and the Minstrel.
Olympic Sport in Rio
Walt: Describe an Olympic sport (use one that you are animating or one that you are interested in)
Instructions
Make a copy of your brainstorm doc. Fill it in using the helpful links and any other information that you have found. (Do not copy and paste and no sharing docs).
Make a copy of your writing doc and use your brainstorm to help you form your paragraphs. Look carefully at the planning on the doc.
You need to listen carefully during class discussions and check your doc daily for feedback and comments from the teacher.

Research and find out as much information about your New Zealand athlete as possible.
