Project - Due January 13th (end of class)
This grade can overwrite your grade in the class. Get a B on this project, get a B in the class for the semester.

Topic: Choose any country or historically relevant named area (example: Palestine or Kashmir). Country Choices

Question: How has colonization effected your country (or region)?

Format: Any format is possible, essay, slideshow, poster

Choosing Topic: Tell Mr Olavarrri your topic in the Zoom chat

G: Your goal is to clearly understand and outline some of the effects of colonization.

R: You are a representative from your country and you are presenting to the UN for funding.

A: Your audience is the UN (your peers and Mr. O).

S: The situation is that your area is in dire need of additional funds to address some issues that were caused by colonization of your country.

P: Create an project that supports your presentation to the UN.

S: This will be graded based on the rubrics below, and based on the IB Criterion (B & D) for a grade.

There are 2 periods of imperialism. After 1492 (European Colonization) and after the Industrial Revolution starts (Age of Imperialism).

Most countries were only affected by one of the 2 periods.
