 There is a DBQ on my desk titled, “The Causes of WW1”

Please pass these out to all classes.

Ask a few of the students to read the paragraphs in the background essay (which starts “At the turn of the 20th century Europe was feeling pretty darned good.”)

This DBQ does not have the questions. (more advanced)

Students should write down 2 questions for each document, and then write the answer to the question.

Examples Questions for Document B:

• • What does the hand in the upper left corner represent?

  • According to the cartoon, what was the underlying cause for war? Explain.

Students need to get through all of the documents by the end of the period. Due Wednesday.
